What (or who) is Rotham Designs?
Rotham Designs is the creative design banner of me, the writer Jeremy Sony. Over the years, I've created posters, graphics, programs, postcards, websites, newsletters (and just about anything else you can build in Photoshop, InDesign, HTML, or Word) for several organizations, individuals, and events.

Why the name Rotham Designs?
Jamie Rotham is a pen name that I sometimes use in my writing (you can see the name Jamie in the Rotham Designs logo if you look closely). When I decided to offer my creative services, I wanted to use a name separate from my playwriting and screenwriting portfolio. And since the Sony corporation had already heavily trademarked my surname, Rotham became the perfect option.
"Your idea. Major effect." What does that mean?
My goal is to work with you to create what you need in a design. Some people know what they want, they have an idea; they just can't make it happen. I make it happen. The goal is that it will have a major effect and wow your audience.
Your idea. Major effect.
My slogan is also an homage to the creation of my pen name, Jamie Rotham.

In 2006, I was in a new play workshop, playing a role that required me to be billed as two separate people. Yeah. It all made sense. One role, called The Major, was onstage and mute. The other role was a disembodied voice, which I played off-stage on a microphone, and it was crucial to the plot that the audience not link them together (as they wouldn't be revealed as one in the same until the end). We didn't want to bill me as both characters and tip our hand; so when I designed the show program, I listed The Major, played by Jeremy Sony, and I listed my other character as being played by Jamie Rotham.
Jamie Rotham is an anagram for I am the Major.
The alter ego stuck and became my pen name and online persona for my earliest blogs.
